Shira Vardi, LCSW is a psychotherapist and mindfulness teacher.  Ms. Vardi received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin- Madison.  She also received post-graduate training in Feldenkrais Body Awareness, a body-centered approach to mindfulnesss, and as an Internal Family Systems Therapist, a mindfulness approach to therapy.  Ms. Vardi’s clinical experience focuses primarily on supporting people in moving successfully through life transitions (transitions into adulthood, relationship and career changes, caregiving and retirement, coping with illness and loss), helping them address anxiety, depression, or old pain that often arise with change.

Ms. Vardi values an open and collaborative relationship with clients.  In addition to gaining insight on challenges and next steps, she assists clients in connecting their thoughts and feelings to body sensations in the present moment, which increases the ability to experience them with ease and to make changes that are consistent with the person's true desires.

In her spare time, she loves to dance (especially West African Drum & Dance), meditate, take time in nature, and spend time with her husband and two (enormous!) cats.
